ANCIENT HISTORY TELLS US THAT EGYPTIANS
September 10th, 2008
Ancient story tells us that Egyptians utilised to inhume pearls alongside the departed bodies of their **** ones. The famous Afrasian challenger Egyptian reportedly had dissolved a azygos pearl in a render of intoxicant and drank it, only to intend a gaming with Marc suffragist that she could spend the riches of an whole commonwealth in meet digit meal.

Oh-oh Pearl_dreams, the above, together with "noodle orifice", has made me almost PEE in my pants with laughter. Who knew that pearl necklaces in those sizes were good for alleviating such desires. The seller is marketing to a whole new buyer group.

Slraep

Oh DON"T! You're making me laugh and that makes me cough and it HURTS!

In all seriousness, what these sites are doing could have serious implications if it were not for the watchdogs at Google, Yahoo and MSN. They are creating a huge wealth of content and link-spam on the Internet. They probably have a strategist from the early part of the decade with experience in adult sites or drug sites. The methods they're using were once a good way to zoom to the top of the engines in no time, bumping out all the sites that had good content and played by the rules. Now online sellers can just watch in amusement as they come and go. They will never rank for more than a day or two. And when the do, Google will see it. When Google sees it, they are gone.

A gaming with Marc! A gaming with Marc! ....digit meal....ahahahaha....I am jumping up and down holding my bladder.

Maybe if we run the stuff through a babelizer---it will give us even more laughs.

Oh no, they do have a place, they have provided the most laughter I have done in some time. please Caitlin, make this sticky so that we can come back to the sites and extracts even when they crash and burn and disappear.

Jeremy

I searched for YouPearl in google blog and it returned 2 to 3 pages of results. A lot of repeats of the same article (blog spamming??) but the wording, while uninspiring, wasn't silly like the blog links you posted below.

I was wondering how you came to the conclusion that YouPearl is in the same category of sellers as the ones you listed?

You pearl seems to be part of a group of new Web sites started in China that all look a bit similar and are hitting the ground running with what are known as "black-hat SEO techniques". These are quick-rank techniques used to climb the search-engine results.

What they are doing is pulling articles from different sources (I found this because my name kept appearing on blogs) and using a program that replaces words for words with like or similar meanings to make the articles look original.

For example:

Gpearl.com
http://blog.gpearl.com/

Lpearls.com
http://www.lpearls.com/blog/
http://www.lpearls.blogspot.com/

LGpearl
http://blog.lgpearl.com/
http://www.lgpearl.blogspot.com/

iepearl.com
http://blog.iepearl.com/

Necpearl.com
http://blog.necpearl.com/
http://necpearl.blogspot.com/

Cnwpearl.com
and
wholesale-pearl.com
http://blog.cnwpearl.com/
http://www.cnwpearl.blogspot.com/

This would worry me greatly doing business with any of them because they will not last. Their sites will all be removed by the SERPS as soon as they start to rank.

Thanks for your pm. Have you put up the big rosebud pearls on your website yet? What do you call rosebuds on your website, is it granulated?

While the links Jeremy posted may be amusing, I'd rather they be posted separately on another thread, and keep this thread to topic.

The thread has stayed on topic, just veered another direction. It just depends on which way you look at it.

I correlated the Web sites because the design-style is the same, photography-style is the same, the photos are all watermarked, they all have something-something pearl as a name, although none of the prefixes make any sense. Everything points to one group of sellers. Either that or one person is designing pearl Web sites in China and selling them left and right to pearl dealers there. The sites are as easy to pick out as a Tahitian pearl in a pile of akoya.

Also, there is this blog post by Youpearl.com, using a different version of the exact same aformentioned story, with a quote by me!

In case anyone is interested here're the strands I received from Youpearls several weeks ago. The shipping was prompt and they seem to be genuinely interested in establishing good relationship with their customer with good communication via email.

I am new to pearl collecting so I can't really comment on the quality, pricing and whether they are real natural colours. My personal opinion is they seem to look pretty good and at a good price point for amateur beaders like me.

Peach and white circle pearls

Peach and white circle pearls

These are the peach and white circle pearls, they seem to have good luster.

The rosebuds and bumpy multicolor pearls. The rosebud were smaller than my expectation but the colours are pretty nice.

They all look like they have good lustre. Agree the coins are very nice with apparently thick nacre. All seem to be natural colors. If you are ok with the price, just have fun stringing them! Will look forward to seeing the finish strands!

Okay now this just has to stop, first tea on the monitor now chicken soup on the keyboard... Not just me but My husband as well was reading over my shoulder after my fits of laughter... we laughed so hard we both cried..

Wow Jeremy you are one crazy guy to say all that... LOL Rolling eyes and ducking for cover!

In all honesty it is really really sad! No wonder people do not know what to believe. Sheesh

cheers

Experience with YouPearl

Experience with YouPearl

I saw the message from over a year ago about YouPearl. I recently ordered from them in November of 2009 and thought I'd respond. I am new to this forum, and have a small jewelry business in Ithaca, New York.

First of all, the shipping is pretty slow, almost three weeks for airmail, and given that you pay a lot for it, that was kind of rough. But there was a very responsive person who answered all of my inquiries about my order. And my order did arrive.

The earring components were of good quality, better than most I had gotten. I got a lot of sterling silver things from them and was pelased.

Their pearls were a good price, and I was overall pelased with the strands I ordered, but I would have liked their definition of "80% blemish free" to be a bit closer to what I considered blemish free. I would order from them again.

The ready made jewelry I ordered from them was very nice. I ordered some earrings.

I would like to know other sites people recommend for nugget baroque pearls.

I was not very happy with the gemstones I ordered.

The real deal from them is their gift bags. I was thrilled with these. God proce, very nice, pretty colors.

I looked at them this AM. They may not be part of the apearl bpearls, cpearl, and especially lpearl crowd, but they aren't that outstanding as a seller. Some prices are less, but at least 2 are more, Link. The singleton large FWs are $80 apiece. the triple AAA FW's are about the same as online sellers,(not counting shipping) but you know you are getting AAA from the online sellers, though the prices are about the same.

Best buys seem to be the coin pearls and maybe the rosebuds.

Why would the pictures of head pins each have a few bent ones? Bent head pins? Definitely not cool.

Is the sizing by Chinese standards? Or it is accurate? The new Chinese standards says the standard for 8mm is 7.3 to 8.3 (or something close to that) There some pearls on any given strand are almost a size smaller and you only get some that are on size.

The pearls are a bit boring. Ebay's Pearlluner has interesting pearls in sometimes fabulous colors. Our member, Amrita, lives in China and is very safe to deal with plus she has said she can go get any kind of pearls in the time it takes to go to the huge pearl companies in the new pearl building in Zhuji, where she lives. We also have Integrity pearls- not as cheap as Youpearl, but they already paid the charges from China and they are easy to return pearls. Don't have time to list more, but they are out there.
