Pretty overtone colors!

It's 14º right now here. Up from 4º earlier today. Brrr!

I bought a strand for myself that is very colourful...it's far from perfect but I loved the colours. I too don't mind if things aren't perfect . A funny thing happened at the HK show. I went to a Tahitian seller to pick up a couple of pearls to add into the necklace. I told the guy at the counter that I was interested in some round dark colourful 10mm pearls as I was reaching into my enormous handbag digging for the strand in it's ziplock bag. He brought up a bag with about 50 beautiful pearls and was just about to put it on the counter when he saw the necklace as I pulled it from the bag. He then immediately moved the bag back to its original spot and grabbed a different bag. .. he looked at me and said " sorry, I thought they were going to be good pearls" LOL I just laughed and said that I was aware of the grade but loved the colours. He also agreed that they were great...for what they are... Ever want to be deflated, take pearls to a pearl show lol
 
Oh goodness, Katbran! :eek: Did you end up buying any of his loose pearls, after that?

OHHHHHH my god , really ? lol Well to me good pearls has nice/great colors and luster. Does not matter the shape. Every pearl is unique and has tell its own story. I love them all . Did you end up buying from this guy?
 
I love all the different colors, the drop shapes, and the shine.
 
I'm late to this thread, but congrats on the necklace! It's a lovely choice :)

Hi guys, I am debating if I should exchange my necklace for this one. PP sent me photos. The one I have right now is lighter and does not show as much colors as the one on photos they sent me. But the one on photos is darker wonder if the colors will still show nicely. I am just afraid if it will be to dark. Do any of you have a strand similar to the one in photos and how are the colors showing off?

Maybe you can ask to see photos taken in day light?

Tahitians will never show all their colors at all times. Mine sometimes look like dark silver only. At other times, there is a lot of color popping. I think you need to like it at its least spectacular :)
