WPF - The World Pearl Forum 2009

The strand is the finest FW strand I have yet seen it was shown to me by Grace Pearl. It was not for sale.

Yes, Thanks. I feel like I was there. Without the jet lag and expense. Good reporting and pics. I still don't know what comes out of it as a conference but I am sure it was interesting. I do recognize Peter. Funny I've never met him but I recognize him from wondering around the HK shows the last few years. What can I say Peter. You sort of stand out. Good job gents.

Next time stop and say Hi I have enjoyed meeting all PG people

I will be in HK next week

Jeremy, his beer and natural abalone pearl, Peter and I.

Peter, is this the museum?

That picture is near the museum heading towards the creek and is perhaps a living museum. As there are examples of all aspects of old architecture as well as old homes that are open to the public. The pictures I uploaded start with the museum and were taken as we walked through the old part of Dubai to the creek

Al Fahidi Fort, which houses the Dubai Museum, was built around 1787, and once guarded the landward approaches to the town.Renovated in 1971 for use as a museum.

Peter,
That was a great photo essay. Every picture was good. Neat to see photos of everyone who is anyone in the pearl world! Well, at least a goodly portion of them.

Jeremy,
I am glad to see pix of your abalone beauty in such lofty surroundings. Who needs a tie when you can sport one of those!

I only wore a tie the first day. By the second I opted for a 'pearl' tie.

I found this photo in Peter's list. Effisk and I are talking to Robert Wan.

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when that conversation was taking place!

Great report and photos from both Jeremy and Peter. Thanks a lot! Nice to see Tom Stern and Effisk, so now I recognize at least some of all our PG-family!
