Thank you for asking, I would not dare put the subject forward by myself.
The story of JH clasp is exactly like Mikimoto's story : it is not because one said it invented it that it does ... it is a 50 years old swiss story.
At this stage I cannot resist telling about the story of clasps through ages I am writing here.

In Europe, we call it "interchangeable" rather than " mystery" , mainly because it is set both sides .
But we wear jewelry, we do not wear "mechanism" and changing is "just a plus".
I like it not only because it allows to compose a new set everyday by changing the center part of the necklace, but also because - in a way - it "free" stones and pearls from prongs and close setting.
At final IMHO, what is important is the main material, I like unusual stones and pearls first of all.
As for Sheri I can convert any strand with interchangeable setting.
See a SS strand set that way on this link on this forum

Lots of clasps can be used : taking a pearl from the strand itself to have it converted, or a hammered silver clasp or a diamond or precious stones clasp ... ah, jewelry endless passion...
Enjoy your strand any way it is set
