Where to buy real pearls on internet?

As an owner of metallic white pearls I have to say there is nothing quite like them!

Those are very beautiful!! May I ask what size is that?? They look amazing

They are only 7.5-8.0mm, but lustrous pearls tend to look larger, because they just radiate glow. I've tried on duller and more lustrous pearls of the same size and no question about it, the lustrous ones seem larger.

BTW I also have these in 9-9.5mm and 9.5-10mm, but the ones I wear most often are the 7.5-8mm ones. I got mine from PP.

Welcome! I just wanted to add, since you said you like pink overtones, the metallic whites have a coppery/pink overtone. My white metallic necklace has the most beautiful white pearls, comparable except for shape, to the Hanadama grade of akoya pearls. For earrings, you will most likely get the roundest ones; it's the necklaces that have some (VERY) slightly off round pearls.

Also being solid nacre, they won't show any signs of wear, probably for decades!, even if you wear them daily. They are still a very insider item, a favorite of us jaded pearlistas, but not well-known, unless you come here. You are on the crest of the wave of everyone finding out about them, and driving the price up! (Don't take me too seriously!) However, unlike rice crispies or potato pearls, the white metallics will never go out of style.

I had to put on my 9-9.5mm AAA metallic white fw studs today. A quick shot near my front door:

What's this about metallic whites being solid nacre, Caitlin? Admittedly, I don't know much about cultured pearls, but I hadn't heard of that before!

LOL Katbran! I will have to take a shot of the largest pair as well.

madsciencechik, the metallic whites are all solid nacre, like most FWP are. They are not bead-nucleated; rather, mantle tissue nucleated.

madsciencechik, I love the fact that they are all nacre!

Okay, so here are the 9.5-10.0mm metallic white studs. Also all nacre. I'm wearing them today with my 9.5-10mm baroque akoyas. It occurs to me that I need to wear these together more often.

A very nice gentleman is looking for metallic freshwaters with pink overtones for me, I had asked for 8.5-9 mm but I recently changed my mind to 9.5-10 mm, I am very excited!

Thanks for all the help!

madsciencechik, just so you know, gray fwp are dyed; gray is not a natural color for fwp.
