Hi,

After seeing those stunning bracelets made by some of the ladies here, I am dying to buy a short strand to make a bracelet on stretch cord or wire (I'm a beader!). I don't want to buy it pearl by pearl. A strand would be better. I have local vendors I can go to here, but I am intrigued by all the pearl farmers on this board! Does anyone on this board sell by strand? A short strand to make an 8" bracelet? Let me know. I'm quickly becoming very addicted!

Hey Mitsucats,

You can try asking your local vendor if they can sell you "pearls by the inch", although its not likely to fly unless they have a large stock on hand. Other then that most if not all online vendors will sell you loose matched pearls to suite your needs. You may want to look into select pearls as I think they are based out of canada?

HI, thanks. I am in Canada, so import and duty taxes are a pain if I buy something from over the border. I don't know how many pearls I would need, maybe 8 or 10? I know one of the local Tahitian pearl vendors has some strands for $700.00, but those are necklace length. Oh well, I"ll look around. I thought some folks on this board had bought loose pearls, or small strands from some of the vendors here .

Hi
You may not have noticed it, but I have sent you a private message on this (top right of the page)
Cheers
Wendy
