Shopping on big Fairs like Hong Kong has some disadvantages.
First the most beautiful pearls are gone already when the harvests come in.
Second it is so much nicer to select pearls on tables with white cloth with windows on the North as on Fairs the artificial lights make pearls look nicer than they are in real daylight.

Today harvests to select from were from Robert Wan in Tahiti and you can see from the luster that they are special.

Size 10-11 mm for the 7 pearls on one photo, 12-13 mm for the photo's with 2 and 3 pearls and the biggest surprise was the 15-16 mm Tahitian drop, which first I took for a South Sea pearl. Almost white, with light green, blue and pink hues. Clean and rare.

Was a good day.

Great way to start the day, black coffee, beautiful pearl photos! The light Tahitian, ahhhh!

I certainly agree! It is a great way to start the day....excellent pearls Cees!

WOW -- thank you for sharing these beautiful photos of gorgeous pearls!

Thanks all, start at 8 am in the morning with black coffee. Morning sunlight is the best to see all the luster. So many things go through my mind about the long way, the remote environment, the staff on a pearl-farm who are so isolated from the life we live. And then see the product. The gratitude for nature and its people in a time that there is so much misery in so many countries in this world.

Cees what a good pearl picker you are. Any of them could make their home with me and I would be a very happy girl. Thank you for sharing your finds with us.

Thanks for the compliments but we have to go on. Found nice 7-8 mm Tahiti pearls in nice colors with nice luster and also a nice not too expensive Tahiti strand 12.10x14.10mm. Aswell cheaper akoya natural blue strands
