Hi Everyone,

Last week, I posted the vintage pearl necklace I bought. A few days after I found a slightly bigger pearl necklace and a bracelet! All the clasps are 14k gold. The bigger pearls have wrinkles when you look closer but the smaller pearls on the other necklace and bracelet are smooth.

Are the bigger pearls and the pearls on the bracelet akoya or fwp? Please help, thank you!

The necklace with the wrinkled surfaces: akoya.
The bracelet-- it it only camera distortion that is making them seem non-round?

Thanks, Pearl Dreams! I’ve taken another picture, the bracelet side by side with the necklace. The one with the clasp is the bracelet.

Miguelle, I still see them in the photo looking a bit non-round, which makes me think freshwaters...but if they look actually round to you in person, then the bracelet is probably akoyas too.

Either way they are a nice purchase!

I think you have a Mikimoto bracelet. Can you look to see if you see the trademark M inside a shell on the clasp?

Oh wow! Thanks for that info, Amti! I kept the bracelet adter I wiped it as it’s kinda tight on me. I will definitely check it! :)

Hello!

I have another vintage find - the clasp is 14K WG and the pearls are graduated in size. Are these akoya pearls, too? Thank you!
