I cannot tell if these are akoya or freshwater from the photos. The size would work for either type of pearl.
 
Some pearls have a bit of surface texture, but not the hammered effect that akoyas have. And the luster is soft, so I'm going to guess freshwaters. But they are very uniform in size, and very round, which is unusual for freshwaters, unless they are bead nucleated. I really don't know on this one.

They just don’t pop the way akoyas do. I strung them and definitely notice a difference from akoyas which I am use to dealing with. I appreciate your time and input.
