This is a new must-read for all lovers of conch pearls! I just received a copy today from forum member effisk (thanks again, by the way). It is nearly 200 pages long with phenomenal pictures. It is not a coffee table book either. It is very text rich.

Here is a snippet of the forward:
This book will take us on a journey of discovery, revealing the secrets of this fabled natural pearl. The true story of the conch pearl will be a revelation, both to the public, and to many professional jewelers.

I have actually been looking for a good authority source on conch pearls, and I think this book is going to fit the bill.

there really is a lack of good quality information on the conch for sure - any surpises you've read in the book so far?

The forward makes it sound like a very intriguing book!

The last time I was in Belize, I had the pleasure of meeting a man who had a huge collection of gorgeous conch pearls. He owns a restaurant there and we just happened to start discussing pearls and he whipped out his collection. It was the largest collection I've ever seen! He had tons of them.

I just received it today, so I have one had time to flip through it casually. I am sure that most of the information will be new, however.
