The Gambiers

It is mulled red wine with sugar and spices (anise, cinnamon, cloves, orange peel and others). I believe it is similar to the Swedish Gloegg. One of my favorites for cold winter days and after a day in the snow.

Well, members, I see you do have an opinion of my countrymen with regard to Gl?hwein. But I can assure you that the traditional Gl?hwein is made on red wine, just as Ramona says in her post.

It is also possible to get the Gl?hwein without alcohol altogether and possibly there are people who make their own mix of Gl?hwein with God knows what...

In Germany and Austria Gl?hwein typically is drunk at all the lovely Christmas Markets, if you ever get there in December, make sure to attend one. Even if it is a bit early I wish you all a very merry Christmas with many pearly gifts.:):):)

My thanks as well; love the photos and the stories, Josh!

I never knew about the nuclear testing at Muroroa and Fangataufa. I went and read about it online, and It brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you for sharing your photos.
