I'm confused...what is the difference between a circled pearl, and a baroque pearl? Can you post pics?

I'm probably wrong but I'd say it like this,

a circled pearl is always baroque
but a baroque pearl is not always circled

If that makes sense?

Some round and many drop pearls can show circling and are symmetrical. So I would say that not all circled pearls are baroque.

It will be fun for you as photos are posted to figure out how to classify the pearls' shape!

Baroque pearls are free form pearls with a mostly smooth surface where Circled Pearls (we actually call these ringed pearls) are grooved during the growth process.

Here is a ringed pearl:

And here is a Baroque

They are Freshwater, not SS or Tahitian, but I think they show the difference well enough.
