Tahitian Pearls?

Hello!

I bought this used pearl-necklace at a net auction because I love the color an shape. It was sold as cultured pearls. I think they look like tahitian pearls, but I guess they can be anything. How can you know?

They look like Tahitians to me! Which, by the way, are cultured pearls, so that was accurate.

Thank you Sheryl! I am still waiting for my pearls to arrive, so I haven?t seen them yet. In fact I have never seen a black pearl in real life. I am pretty exited.

I bought my necklace from a well known, old auction house with a good reputation. I know they will send me the pearls I bid for. But I will gladly post a picture of my Tahitians as they arrive.

When you said "net auction" most of us probably thought of ebay. Good to know there is a trustworthy auction house out there. Yes, we'd love to see a photo when you get your lovely new Tahitian pearls.
