JerseyPearl - Rhodium dipped? Do you do it yourself or do you have to bring it to a jeweler? Love the earrings!

Lovely JP! Now you have to show us a shot of the necklace and earrings together! ;)

Thank you Jac! Couldn't have done it without your help!

Thanks everyone...
Purranha, I don't dip myself...I take it to my jeweler and he does it for a very modest fee.
amti, here is a shot with the necklace and earrings. IMG_3086.jpg

<clap clap clap!!> Lovely JP, just lovely!!! That's one fun set!!!

The earrings look wonderful with your circles necklace, JerseyPearl!!!

Looks wonderful...no one will notice the texture difference..glancing at the photo I don't see it without a zoom. Excellent ! Love the look!

You asked about the hammered ones...well they aren't finished...I'm ready to solder .. almost. I've changed my mind about hanging a pearl and heading in another direction lol It's a good thing I'm not working with gold..I'd be broke with my ' lets just throw this together and see how it works.... ' approach. I did do a second variation on the bar earrings .. first were on hooks and these are shorter and studs. It's a temp job on the pearls..just a size check really... more polishing needed too...lol IMG_0644.jpg

Katbran, those are really neat pieces! Did you make all the setting yourself? I've looked at soldering gold and silver but it looks like you need a flame torch for those and that's beyond my comfort zone. I can see myself burning down the house. :O When you say you need to polish, how do you do that?

Loving all the pearl and geometric shape earrings, Katbran, so chic with the bars, JS super with the ovals and rounds! Great compliment and contrast. Such creativity, love it!!

I took a soldering class a few years back, and am a bit hesitant to go forward at home, even with fire extinguishers handy, so I do understand the hesitation! Still, it's a skill I could definitely put to use.

Katbran I like your style, modern and very wearable. Very envious with your skill set, I can't even bend wire properly.

Well thank you all very much for your kind words ! My skill level is fairly basic tbh. Beatriz is the metal artist !! I make all the findings which are pretty simple..but then that's what I prefer :)

The little seal was a present that my then 10 yr old son Nick brought back from a school class camping trip out to Kangaroo Island many years ago.. the Island is a very popular tourist spot here in South Australia due to it's undeveloped nature and heaps of wildlife...seals..kangaroos ( as one would suspect from the name) . Very nerve wracking to send them off on a ferry to an island with Great Whites in the water and Death Adders in the sand to go camping .... but they all came back :D

Katbran, I really like your bar earrings! And I love the display with the seal in what looks like snow.
