Stop me before I spend again...

GemGeek, the pendant and Sea of Cortez earrings look perfect together. A match made in heaven. :) Like Ingykiz, I am very tempted to purchase something from DruzyDesign. Maybe I'll just take a look....:D

Boo, I was in the same boat, trying to match pendant to earrings and by dumb luck, the little pendant came through.

Sueki, that was the first time I noticed the pendant. It's funny that I didn't see it sooner.

Personally, I think every female pearl lover should have a pair of Sea of Cortez earrings. I know I'm a bad influence, but they are my favorites. Their rarity makes them collector's pearls and once you see them in person, you will know what I mean.;)

Thanks for sharing in my "pearl hunt"!

GemGeek, I agree. Sea of Cortez earrings are a must. They are in the top five of my wish list!

How beautiful! I am about ready to put my foot into Druzydesign water to test! I will be brave and buy something from her.....

After you check out all the listings, check in once a day to see what's been listed that day until you find the perfect piece. Check the measurements and photos carefully to be sure of the size and color of what you'll be getting. I love that she takes a lot of close-up photos against several colors of background.

Those pesky Sea of Cortez pearls come in many colors and they also shift color, making it hard to show how beautiful they really are. Mine are very light blue with shifting pink and teal orient, but it's hard to show in a photo. In other words, if you like the photos, they'll probably be better in person.;)

Oh, this is really lovely! Both the pearls and the goldwork are amazing.

After seeing references to her work on this forum, I've been perusing her eBay site; I crave some of the sea of cortez earrings.

What kind of necklace will you wear this on? The pearls that you showed, or a chain? Does a "regular" 14 kt chain look okay with this?

I agree wholeheartedly with Gemgeek.
The Cortez pearls are something else, and guaranteed to take your breath away. They are truly beautiful, and you won't be disappointed.
When I have time - and some decent light - I'll post pics. of mine.
A happy and healthy new year to everyone.

It looks funny with ordinary gold and other colors of gold. It looks fine on my stainless steel cocoon cord, but the fat cord emphasizes how small the pendant is. I'll make the black pearls into a necklace for it now and I hope to find a dainty high-karat gold chain when I'm in Tucson.;)

How about the rather large bail? Does it fit the lacy design in person?

It still manages to look delicate, even with a large bail. I wouldn't change it.;)

The black looks best, you're right. It really is stunning. One of these days I'll have a Sea of Cortez pearl. And I want a shipwreck pearl. What about a gemstone chain? Labradorite? We can't stop you from spending. We need to live vicariously!

I'm going to try to upload a photo of one of my designs. LMK what you think, please.

Hello Morna,
I love it - are they moonstones I see in there ?
And the larger beads look like Murano glass ?
Clever you, it's lovely.

It is very pretty. I see some Eni Oken influence in the clasp. Would you mind photographing it wearing it please? Thanks!

I love moonstones and pearls together! As a side note: I had tried unsuccessfully to win one of the moonstone auctions on DruzyDesign several months ago. I did get another item as a BuyItNow at about the same time, and Carolyn sent along a few of the moonstone briolettes as a bonus. Wasn't that sweet?!

Hi Boo,
What goes around, comes around, eh ? ;)

The briolettes are labradorite, and the large focals are handmade lampwork glass beads, by American artist Lori Greenberg. I love to combine lampwork with Hilltribe and semi-precious, and pearls of course!

The clasp is just a normal lobster. My biggest weakness is in choosing clasps; I just don't have a good eye for it. As for any Eni (pardon the pun!) Oken influence - I wish! I don't think I'd do the necklace much justice, but I'll try to take a photo for you, once I find the camera. I'm in the midst of setting up a small showroom in my house, and everything's a bit topsy turvy at the moment.

Thanks for showing an interest :)

It's lovely Morna.
Those focal glass beads are gorgeous, too - reminiscent of Scottish agates.......

Labradorite?

Great idea! ;)

All those pretty flashes of blue! Sigh....quite lovely. I have my Cortez pendant on a strand of low grade iolite, but it doesn't flash blue (pout) ;)

I have a cheap 3 strand necklace I got from China that has a honking big labradorite clasp - much fun.
