I found these,
290344508639
hunting for long drop pearls for the Anne Boleyn necklace. They are the right shape, but suspiciously perfect. I messaged the seller asking if they were faux, plastic, shell based, MOP, or freshwater, and here is the answer:

The above item in white colour with no. 290344508639 and are freshwater pearls.
Best Regards,
ezytradee

Any thoughts?

Sure look fake to me, with the "cut off" top---??
That looked strange to me too... seems I am developing the Pearl Guide nose for "?n your dreams'' descriptions. One for the pearl police?

Mmmm, not what they say they are. Almost certain!
BTW I played with a few long skinny drop FW pearls that I had in stock, and they just couldn't ever sit as close together as the ones in the AB necklace. You would get 2 in that width, but not sure about 3...

The proportions suggested by your client do not seem terribly close to either the props in the movie or a bona fide historic reconstruction. Quite the luck that you should end up with such a design problem! The skinny buggers could be gonad-formed non-nucleated pearls...

Indeed, the prop necklace seems larger (LINK). Those drops could easily be a fairly normal 7 x 12 mm or so.

Hi purlgurl,

I've been making some earrings, and couldn't resist playing around with your challenge--here's a photo of some of my more slender drops, cheek to cheek just about 7/8 inch. 11.5-12-11.5mm lengths.

The pearls I had (sadly now gone) were 7 x 14/14.5... def long and skinny, but only a pair, with no singles well enough matched for a trio for purlgurl. I will definitely keep my eyes open!

Oooh Pattye, those are great! I can't see how she could do much better. ;)
