I have a baroque akoya necklace somewhere that has tails on it like that. (Not the greatest necklace) I have no idea where it is, though, or I would post a photo.
oooh, is it that overstock baroque akoya necklace? i have one, have given some away as gifts - no, it's not super-high quality, but there's lots of luster, and it looks a LOT better than the vendor photos IRL...i love wearing it with my 36" metallic color-shifting pearl strand from pp - i think i was wearing it in one of those PP pearl chats, even. the pink metallic really brings out the blue metallic, and the shapes contrast nicely (i think). ANYHOW some of the pearls do have those giant "wings," although usually the protuberances look instead like wormholes or other things less nice than wings.
