Phwarrrr!
I cleaned Josh out of silver greys, apparently. One more rounds necklace to photograph, plus lots of earrings (I do them one at a time otherwise it is easy to get in a muddle)
The rounds are mostly A and Bs with a couple of Cs, 8.4 to10.5, white gold clasp. Metallic lustre silver to grey with aqua overtones
The baroques are 8.5 to 11, again mostly As and Bs
The earrings are semi round (you can see in the photo they are not totally perfectly round, but they are grade A and match the rounds necklace perfectly. 8.8mm
Photos taken outside in overcast winter conditions as my new photography lights have got lost in the post

Dear Wendy:

Congrats. What an amazing and glowing necklace. Good for you. Normally I am not a huge fan of 'gray' tahitians but the silver gray with metallic overtones and expecially with the teal highlights will catch my eye every time. You have made an eye-catching piece. And the earrings are very special. Is this for yourself? It's truly lovely. I love that the earrings are not perfectly round but deliciously swirly and earthy. They are the epitome of a gem created by a living thing. Exactly what draws us all to pearls and keeps us staring for hours.

Great job!! (Either one or both of them).

Hi Barbie. These scrumptious pearls are just visiting.
The shells I pick up on walks on the beach (about half a mile away)

Ah yes, the visiting pearls. They are like family - you are torn between loving having them, and not being able to wait for them to leave! ;)

Wendy,

What lovely necklaces and earrings. They are quite something to drool over!

I also love the shells!!

Dear Wendy:
I grew up on Newport Beach in California in the late 50's and early 60's before it was invaded, oops I mean discovered, by so many people who 'share' it now. My uncle Ronnie had a bungalow on the beach where we all lived in the summer. My uncle Al was a deep sea fisherman who brought us barracuda and other delectables for breakfast, about 4:30 AM daily.

There were a million shells there then, much like the lovely shells you use as props for your elegant pearls.

Takes me back to a time when the world was a little younger and more innocent...

Wendy - I've been waiting to see these! Beautiful pearls, and yes, apparently Josh is cleaned out of them now.. hope they find some lovely permanent homes as well as enjoy visiting you. Nice work, BTW, as always.

Lovely silver pearls :)

DK :)

Here is the second rounds necklace (8.5 to 11mm and 48cm long) and another pair of stud earrings - these are 10mms.

Josh you are one brilliant pearl grower - I just throw a bit of silk at them

Beautiful pearls. I love the subtle differences in color of the pearls on those strands. Those are "my kind of Tahitians" !!!!!!!

Love the color on those - very striking!
