I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread where we can show our purchases from PP's live events.

I'll start with my most recent! All of these are from Takahashi. Two golden south sea loose pearls and a pair of gem grade natural white akoyas.

I love them all! And you can see how green the goldens are even in my crappy bathroom lighting.

I can't wait to see what everyone else posts!

The akoyas are going to be made into one of two things - threader earrings or maybe just put onto a bit of chain with a jump ring at the end so that I can put them on as earring jackets with my natural white studs à la @jeg

The shape on the more drop shaped golden screams "I'm a pendant" to me. I want to draw out the green overtones so I may set it with a demantoid/tsavorite garnet, emerald, or chrome diopside as an accent stone.

The near round one (which I could seriously stare at all day) is trickier for me. I'm leaning towards and enhancer though.

The finished jewelry from Takahashi is still in Japan. Hisano told me yesterday that they're doing the finishing on the pearls that are already set in finished jewelry. Maybe I'll have a piece to show by next week. And my Kasumi pearl is being set. I could post photos of Pomme de la Mer pendant and my Eclipse necklace but it's storming here right now. No natural light whatsoever.

For a three-keshi pendant lot from Sea of Cortez we are just waiting on two-sided 24k/diamond findings for Hisano to finish. BUT she said she would try to bring the pearls to PBTB tomorrow to preview the piece for my wife. I looked but could not immediately find a photo from the live stream, pearls were top notch SOC keshi colors.

I made the akoyas into earrings today! I had originally planned to use white gold but the white gold posts I had were too thick for the hole that was already in the pearls. I'm still just as happy with the yellow gold though!

I decided on this white gold pendant setting for the darker near round golden. I got it off etsy. When I put the yellow gold settings that I already have up to the pearl it just didn't look good.

I have gone maybe a little crazy and ordered 4 different green gemstones to pick from and set with my more drop-shaped golden. A Swat Valley emerald, Zambian emerald, demantoid garnet, and a mint grossular garnet. I figure whatever I don't use for this pendant, I can use in other projects. I have a feeling I will go with the demantoid, but it's hard to tell without seeing the pearl and stones together.

The goldens have been sent back to PP today to be drilled. As soon as I get the different parts and pieces in to me I'll post an update and maybe ask for opinions on which green stone to use!

And Hisano's favorite Kasumi pearl is here! I decided on a little h yellow gold diamond bail because it matched the rose gold ruby bail on my Kasumi pendant from Kojima. This way, I can wear both pendants as earrings on my diamond hoop earrings. Let me roll them around so you can see all sides. Hisano's favorite on the left. Sarah's Kasumi pearl that I've had for a few years on the right.

And with The Devine Sarah pendant I recently got from Kojima. It's a huge freshwater pearl, but I think they make a nice set. What do you think?

I don't know how you decided which direction to face forward for either of those pearls. They are really magnificent and look great together and with the pendant.

Hisano and I played with turning the Kasumi pearl every which way. I think Hisano liked the purple face forward because it was the cleanest and shinest. I wanted some blue on top. I picked a bail that doesn't have a "front" so that the pearl can roll around and show all faces. All three pearls look good from all directions. They really do not have "backs."

All three pearls have INSANE colors. I can't stop staring at them.

I have three purchases from the Japan live events, but only one in my hands right now. A pair of grey Akoya from Takahashi. Just what I wanted. I have smaller studs and bigger studs in the grey/blue Akoya, so this one is right in between at 8-8.5

The Kojima Kasumi pearl came with the ruby bail attached, so you'll have to ask Sarah at Kojima where she got it. But I bought it several years ago, so she may not remember.

For Hisano's Favorite Kasumi pearl, Hisano and I looked at several bails at Pearl Paradise. The round diamond bail is the last of Hisano's little h bails that she used on her little h line of jewelry. It's not a bail that Pearl Paradise normally carries. I specifically asked for it because I have a little h pendant with that same bail, and I knew it would match the ruby bail in size and shape. If I did not already have the Kojima pearl, and I was going to use Hisano's Favorite Kasumi pearl on its own as a necklace pendant, I think I would have picked Forever, Wanderlust, or Halo from the Pearl Paradise bails. I really liked the Wishbone setting, but my pearl was way too large for it.

Stuller has something like them.
