Sorry but I don't know of any Lab in Italy that specializes in pearls...but you can also contact Stefanos Karampelas at the Gubelin Gem Lab in Switzerland...that will be much closer to you I believe, maybe even just a drive away.

Yesterday I handed my Pinctada with pearls to Stefanos Karampelas In Basel for scientific analysis and to ship the samples to other institutions, Stefanos Karampelas can choose the timing-time frame and the institutions around the globe to do the analysis.

Thank you Douglas McLaurin for giving me the indication of Stefanos.
