Thanks for the advice Kristine. Next time I am back in the Philippines I will make more of an effort to search out the suppliers of the high quality pearls. It would be great visit the pearl farms also....

If you want high quality pearls check out Jewelmer. They have a bunch of showrooms in Manila and I like how they've been putting up pearl exhibits that showcase one of a kind pieces like this one (I saw it from their Facebook page):

I love that piece! I wonder how much it costs? And recently, they actually launched a collection for men.
