Carolyn Ehret, DruzyDesign on ebay, one of only 2 dealers in the US to sell Cortez Pearls, does occasionally list mabes in her ebay store, they can be quite reasonable. Of course, Carolyn also has the wonderful cultured baroques and rounds also, and you can be assured of getting the genuine article! I have purchased a few mabes in the past, they are simply finished on the back and drilled through for stringing.

Sheri, you chose some gorgeous mabes! A trip to the pearl farm there is on my must do list!!

The heart is actually much lighter and a bluish silver, with some pink iridescence. I'll try to take a photo of it against my skin in the next few days (made it into a sweet little pendant last night, wearing it as I type...).
