Edit: When I deleted my albums (for personal reasons) the photos in many of these posts vanished, since they linked directly from my albums. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Hi all,
A rainy day here today-- a good day to stay indoors and take photos. I used available light next to a window. These are only a few of the items I have made; it's going to take me days to photograph and upload the rest but this will get me started. Check back from time to time if you want to see more!
You'll see a lot of tourmalines, which I love, but there will be others as well.
I'll start with the "culprit"-- the watermelon tourmaline slice pendant that got me started beading! (I made the necklace, not the pendant!)
My husband bought this pendant for my birthday about 5 1/2 years ago. The following Christmas he gave me matching slice dangle earrings, then in the spring a matching slice ring! (What a generous guy! )
So then all I needed was a bracelet. Well, try to find a watermelon tourmaline slice bracelet-- not easy, as I learned!
A year later, we went to a gem show, where I found a few strands of temporarily strung slices. It seemed that was the best I could do, so I bought them. Then I had to learn how to string them! And so it began.
Here is a photo of 3 of my bracelets, the slices one is obviously the one in the middle.
