Hello! I have this beautiful pearl necklace, which has a 14K on the fastener. After reading thru the education section, I think I confused myself, so I would love some help with the proper description. I was thinking Akoya or are these dyed? To me the color doesn't seem as strong as some of the dyed examples. Also would you call the white pearls within the strand baroque and the center one a drop? All of the blue pearls measure around 5.8 mm. And interestingly, using my magnifier, I noticed that on one side of the fastener encasing the numbers 59990 are engraved on it. Maybe a stock number of that part specifically or was part of an auction at one point I was thinking.

Hi there JSP!
This does indeed look like a mixed strand of "Black Akoya" and freshwater pearls. Very nice looking!
The white freshwater pearls seem to be symmetrical, so they would be called semi-baroques. The central pearl looks somewhat caught in the middle of being a drop and an oval.

Hello!
Thank you so much for your help. It is such a lovely necklace, I do enjoy wearing it and now I can accurately tell those that ask what it is!
Have a wonderful week!
