Hi all,

I'm new to P.G and I'm addicted already, although I'm down to twice a day now.

Is there a list of world-wide shows and fairs, how do you get to know whats happening?

I'm in England (not much seems to happen here:(
Any suggestions

I had to laugh out loud when i read "although I'm down to twice a day now."

That is exactly what happened to me when I first joined.... I would sign on every opportunity to see what was new.

I don't share my computer, so I seldom even log out! And I peek whenever I want to, which I am certain is more than twice a day!! Yikes, and that is still happening after 2+ years!

I haven't logged out since I joined!!!! YIKES. Is there an easy way to see most current activity?

You've only been here for 2+ years? I thought it'd have been longer than that. I bet you started collecting pearls way early though ... I only started last April.

Well, I keep a page open in Firefox all the time. But way OT so I better shut up.

I did not have much Internet opportunity in Scotland last week and I was going through withdrawals!

As for the shows in the UK!
The only one I know of is International Jewellery London from August 31st to September 3rd (Earl's Court, London).

I found a very effective way recently to reduce my frequency of PG visits. Combine two things: 1) Work 60+ hours a week, then 2)Spend the overtime you're earning on something you've asked Jeremy and Jen to make for you. This means I have no time to log in and if I did log in I'd just see something else (like all those references to the City Strand!) I'd try to convince myself I need. Oh, the logic I'll try to use to control my sparklie urges...

They should offer a twelve step program to break pearl addiction.:D

First step - Weitang
Second step - Zhuji
Third step - Lombok
Fourth step - Broome
Fifth step - Josh's farm
Sixth step - Guaymas, Mexico
7th step - NZ
8th step - Bahrain (?)

come on, someone else can fill in the next 4!! Got to get some Kasumis in there as well.. and maybe some museum hopping for some older treasures as well.

And of course (us foreigners) will have to stop in at PP when we all fly in to LA en route to Tuscon.. this trip will definitely send us to debtors prison rather than rehabilitate us from our pearl addiction...

There is no cure for Pearl or Ice Cream Addiction------

Why? What would be the point?

Only for those going upside down financially. I would bet there are others here who can attest that there are people who are actually addicted to pearls. I have a friend who owns a couple of shops. He tells me about customers who can't get enough. Any windfall is an excuse for another pearl. LOL Some of them probably visit this site.:D
