Agreed on all points. I love amethyst, black spinel and Tahitians...such a wonderful combo of colors and sparkle.

Been trying to find new ways of combining them. I also just sort found a fondness for Red Spinel combined with Black Spinel, got a project in the pipeline. I like the thinner bead necklaces for dress shirts worn with open collars. Esp when having to go out for a professional yet casual Business dinner or drinks.

I just had a conversation on line with a young man interested in a black spinel and pearl piece I made recently...he was concerned that the small stones might seem too feminine. I assured him they are not, and that fashion knows no boundaries! Well dressed is well dressed, regardless of the gender.
Love those pieces BPDC! I too love Black Spinel and the look of the teeny tiny ones with pearls...tho I hate threading them lol I was looking at a strand in a Jewellery store window and they had used these weeeeeeeny teeeeeeeeny little black crimps. Not oxidised silver. They got a bit vague when I asked about them and I realised that they hadn't made the pieces and had bought them in and had no idea what the crimps were made of.. I would love to find some 2mm black tornado like crimps if anyone knows where they are.

Katbran, I haven't seen anything like that...however, I would imagine that you could rhodium plate sterling or white gold crimps for that look. I would think that would be fairly simple to do.

Thank you and sorry I missed this. They are actually two separate strands, I wanted to cherry pick pearls from each for my loose gem collection but I just couldn't do it LOL. (I had an original design idea for the leftovers that has since escaped me I got distracted by some techie nerdy activities).

The Neck-shots. Normally I don't wear the thinner ones with only a T-shirt, usually open collar shirts instead of a gold or silver chain.
This one has handmade silver wire beads that seem to match the circled pearls.
