Hi! I am new to the forum. I am Vanessa and my husband is Randy.
Over Christmas this year I made my husband a pot of Oyster Stew. I don't like oysters- not the smell, texture, taste, NOTHING... until that day... I purchased a tub of oysters that were on ice at the local IGA grocery store. Well he was eating his stew just loving it and bit down on something hard. You guessed it he found a pearl in his stew. At first it looked like a small rock. It was really nasty looking. I cleaned it up and now ... well lets just say I'm not so adverse to fixing Oyster Stew anymore.
I have several sets of pearl necklaces that are very old and had been passed down from my great great aunt and intended for me. This is really exciting for us. My husband has been wondering what kind of pearl this is and if there is an approximate value that can be attached. I have a few pics. One is the pearl in the palm of my hand and the others are it next to a nickel- both sides of the pearl.
If anyone has any suggestions would you please let us know. Thanks!!! Vanessa and Randy Merritt
