if you get the strips instead of the roll.... they're double sided and if you cut the center U part out... you'll get just the right amount/size of hold
i use them at the neck in the center back....i found that if that part holds, the front usually is ok too
to me the roll one is too fiddly but ymmv

Mine is not real hair (omg they're expensive) but I did go to a wig shop and the lady who helped me has a lot of experience so I feel more confident with her input. I got extensions awhile back and while I wouldn't do it again, they did force me to get used to "fake hair" because they stayed on for a few months full -time. It reminds me of being in junior high and just starting to wear makeup and feeling sure that everyone is staring at what a martian you look like.

The earring look great, but they also look heavy. If you can feel them too much and your ears go, "AHHHH!" when you take them off, then they might be better as pendants.

Ah, here's that thread. Couldn't find it! Thanks for your input, everyone! I already posted pics of the Tahitian pendant on another thread awhile back. I liked the fun jumbo-ness of them all the other way but then I realized I didn't really like them on me. I decided to make both the big dyed Edison ring and one of the Tahitian earrings into pendants. A plain band setting is on the way for the other Tahitian pearl and I know around here that I better post pics when it arrives!

I'm wearing both pendants in the photo but my style is pretty simple so I'll probably just wear one at a time. The pendants aren't really all that different from each other so now I'm wondering why I didn't get a fancier setting for one of them. Oh well, that is the way the hot dog stands! I guess the larger Edison will just be for the long chain and the Tahitian will be for the shorter chain. Also, although both have peacock overtones, the Edison overtones are more green/blue and the Tahitian's are more red/pink.

ETA: Now that I think about it, the Edison setting's bale (bail?) is a separate piece so I guess I could replace it with a fancier one without too much trouble.

They look great but I see what you mean about them being a bit similar. If it bothers you , why not send one to PP and have them change out the bail for one that's very different . They look good worn together like that !

I think I will eventually get a diamond setting for one of those pendants.

The ring is set. I really like the plain band setting from PP and have gotten it several times. I can wear it as-is or dress it up with my diamond bands.
