A little autumn update

A little autumn update

C04CF49B-2CFE-40BE-BA8E-CEA8B061E8EA.jpgHello lovely pearl lovers!

So many new spectacular pearls on this forum lately! It is always such a treat to check out everyone’s collections...

After a super busy and happy pearls summer I finally had time to finish a little project with a small light pastel lot I got from Jac ( you may have seen it on his Instagram this spring) I love the light Tahitians and pastels as well so that looked like a perfect combination for me... I originally wanted to combine them with akoya keshis but didn’t find the right ones so I ended up with labradorite rondelles and threw in some pyrites as well... I even got to use my last of Jac’s AAA peacocks...all in 8mm size... I am quite happy with how it turned out....There will be neckshots soon :)

I have also collected some new pearls mostly from Wen’s AAAs to add to my two bracelets and make a choker necklace... Didn’t have enough drop pearls so put some off- rounds in there too... The pearls are mostly from a deconstructed necklace, with some Druzy designs, Wen’s and Jac’s pearls as well...There is this one pearl with an intense pinkish purple color and the shape of a little racket that is making me crazy...I love the color but the shape doesn’t really go too well with the rest of the necklace...Will probably put it on a new bracelet once I have enough new pearls...The obsession is going strong...great that I am in such a good company :)

Wishing everyone a wonderful autumn! Here in Sicily we are having a wonderful Indian summer...

As always sorry for the upside down pictures, thank you PD in advance :) 24321493-3352-40B7-9FF1-1A46346C9305.jpgE22EE7AD-E9DF-453D-BB23-FEA933FF28F9.jpg5C2EC7F1-2628-4955-8AB0-55128F54CB23.jpgED919580-358F-42BD-A71C-4A83A0549B0A.jpg493886E8-65E9-40AD-A086-15C2BC1F88DC.jpg

Thank you Parrot lady and Pearl dreams!

I have another new addition to share :) White akoya keshis and blueish baroque akoyas tin cup that I got from Japan. ( the earrings are from Lisha pearls on Etsy) I am not a big fan of white pearls but I love this double tin cup style...Already have a similar necklace with tahitians in works... Only with Tahitians it’s triple :)

This looks great on you. I adore Akoya keshi, but as Patty’s noted, it is amazing to think of how much work has gone into drilling them!

Thank you for all the akoya tin cup love ladies! Yes, these keshis are tiny and it is amazing how shiny something so small can be! My admiration for all who drill them and work with such small beads, it is extremely hard on the eyes...and fingers too I suppose...

My circled tahitian strand from Wen has arrived and I am in love! Wen called these “ multicolor pastels”, I am not sure about pastels but they sure are multicolor! I chose this strand because of its lighter colors and even though there are some blemishes on some pearls they are not distracting... ( and with Wen the price is always very reasonable...great quality/price ratio).
I am really happy I gave these a chance, wasn’t sure when ordering but then many of you lovely PGrs have posted some beautiful pictures of Wen’s strands so I crossed my fingers and dived in...
Have quickly knotted the strand but I already know I will rearrange the pearls again...Now I need a matching bracelet....the pearl adventure never ends...:)

Those are lovely! I love that eggplant colored pearl on your strand most of all. I am sure you are going to get so many compliments when you wear them.
