New and less new pearls

This is a strand of lavender keshi. They are huge and very light (maybe they are soufflé?). These and other keshi are the kinds of pearls that I would never have bought in the past. I liked drops but couldn't handle ripples or keshi because I thought they looked like baby teeth (the small keshi), like chewed bubble gum (the big keshi) or testicles (drop ripples). So I missed the keshi and the ripple train that took off from Catherine Cardellini station a few years ago. I got into ripples a couple of years ago and keshi this year. Thankfully there were still some around! I love this necklace, it's crazy and the colours are extraordinary. It's washing out a bit in all the photos unfortunately. It's a striking blue/purple overall, and one pearl at the front has a little round appendage.

Fiona, these are all wonderful! You have a beautiful, varied collection. Keep 'em coming!

I'm going to use the rest of the photos from today and then take some more next weekend. Yes. I have more pearls. I've even convinced my husband that I'm a 'collector', which is why it's perfectly okay for me to keep buying....

This is my original Tahitian strand from Kathryn at Imogene.

Here is my giant ripple strand from Pearl Paradise. This has lots of purple and green.
The colours in the first photo are true to life, the next two photos are a bit oversaturated (far too much orange, these pearls are not orange), the last one is completely washed out. So challenging!
These are the PP equivalent to the Holy Grails.

Here are the ones I showed yesterday with just the iPad. More Catherine Cardellini strands. All the photos in this thread with that type of clasp are hers.
So I am NOT a peach person. Peach looks blah on me. It either blends in or it's too orange. But these are great. I don't think the Tahitian and peach strand is coming across so well in these photos but the combo in person makes my colouring come alive.
The other keshi strands have lots of golden lights, so they don't blend in. They aren't remarkable on me but they are remarkable in themselves so I added them to the collection! Again, the colours didn't show well on the neck shots, they are just to show size. And the last photo was my lazy way of showing the whole strand where the colour of my top didn't completely overwhelm the necklace.
These are strands to wear in different combinations as well.

Gorgeous pearls! My favourite from today’s pics is your Tahitian strand from Imogene. Just stunning!

Hello again, I hope everyone is well. I'm uploading a few photos of new pearls.
The strand is from Kojima. This is a replica of the oceanic strand on the website. I've seen that jeg got that one - at the time I was also seeking to buy it and just missed out. Sarah kindly made me one, and the pearls are divine.
The pendants are from PP.
Sorry most pictures are upside down!

Here are the PP pendants. The white ones are 4cm long. I've not tended to buy pendants before, and these are my first fireballs. I love the drippy white one the most, in real life it's a bit aqua on the ball part and pinky on the tail. It reminds me of an abstract sort of cicada.

Hey, Twinsie! Enjoy your new strand- I really love mine!

More of the pendants. As per usual, my neckshots only really give you an indication of size - colour and lustre are washed out. These are also taken in artificial light - by the time I got to taking photos of myself it had become dark outside.
These are not the chains that came with the pearls - I bought some snake chains because I prefer the feel.

So I've gone kind of nuts recently and bought more again. This is my new Tahitian keshi necklace from Imogene, here in Melbourne. It makes me feel closer to my all-black-wearing (mandatory in Melbourne) heavy-metal-listening side. (Which is still me much of the time!)
The last two photos show the new keshi with the other Tahitian Imogene strand that I bought around five years ago. They are pretty much the same mix of colours, same length (38 inches I think).

Hi Fiona!

Thank you for posting the Fireball pendants! I really like the 'golden' one on you! I appreciate you posting and the luster / color are unique on each one. I thought about purchasing on PP, but since I am such a petite person, I was worried about the size and how they would look on me. So posting really helps.

Thanks for sharing so many photos of your beautiful new pearls. I am staggered at all the great choices you have. Pendants are very versatile and I prefer to wear them when it's really hot. Yours will suit any outfit. And the long Tahitian keshi - sigh. :)

Yes, the fireballs and the Tahitian keshi rope are stunning. It seems there is no end to wonderful and creative pearly pieces.

Thank you for sharing your collection.
