Just picked up this necklace Friday during our PP getaway!

My intent was to graduate the pearl sizes. Starting with larger pearls at the bottom and both sides, then using the smaller pearls between the bottom to meet the larger pearls at both sides, and then smaller up to the clasp. I added 6 diamond roundels at the bottom for a bit of sparkle, and chose a simple yg clasp until I can find a simple antique clasp. The luster is amazing and the roundels sparkle more IRL.

Since becoming a pg member I suffer terribly from PSS! So it's clear to me that I'll need to either layer or add a complementary pendant. Here are some choices...

Thanks again, GemGeek!!

I love what you did with the strand. The turquoise pendant on the interchangeable bail looks great, too.

What exciting transformations! The more I look at it, the more I like it! I'm curious about the different pendants. Numbers 4 and 5 look like antiques and are very appealing. Did you knot the pearls or use wire? Natural pearls are so interesting and beautiful!

Love this necklace!

My favourites are 3 (I actually love this pearl with the necklace, I think the colour works well) and 4. The antique pendant is beautiful. And I also like the turquoise pendant layered with the other turquoise necklace.

It's lovely, and yes, it definitely benefits from layering -- I love the turquoise neck shot. :)

great collection! Interesting ideas to wear!

I can't pick a favorite. I love them all. I like how you left a gap (not a gap, but not a roundel) especially for a pendant right in the center. Perfect.

Thanks, Amti! The strand was knotted at 1" intervals. Yuon at PP strung it for me...I assume it's silk string?? Pendants 4 & 5 are Edwardian wth natural pearls.

Thank you, ladies for your kind words!!!

I found a couple more pendants that could also work. Some work better than others, but i think the best choice would be a large white / off white natural pearl pendant. Hmmmm, I'm gonna have to save my pennies for that!

I'm seeing the colours a bit better in that last photo - love the first one! Overall how would you describe the colour - cream and pinky apricot and pinks? If so maybe a pretty Apricot/pink/gold that is a common colour in Souffle pearls ?

Katbran, the colors are all the above, and equally throughout the strand! But the 2 larger front pearls where pendants attach have a lot of pink overtones. At first I thought only a natural Pearl pendant would work best. But I also thought that a little h geode pendant would work really well...maybe with pink sapphires or diamonds. Hmmm, I may need to meet with Hisano...

Yes, a little H geode pendant designed just for these lovely naturals ... Would be divine!

Imgarden each look has it pluses. I think ultimately what would make any of them work would be the outfit you are wearing. The necklace in real life with out any added enhancer or pendent is exquisite. It would draw my eye to it every time I glanced your way. From my perspective it is a stand alone neck piece. From someone who has seen it in person the pictures do not do it justice in the least. The pearls glow from within. Enjoy wearing this wonderful necklace. You are one lucky lady to now call it yours.

Oh Newberry, what kind words to say!! Thank you!!

I wore it today, and dressed it down with denim. This pic was taken in direct sun - the color variations are prominent. I think I'm gaining control of my pearl shrinkage syndrome!
