Thanks for keeping that straight as I was only thinking of natural orient in natural colored untreated pearls in my previous post without regard for vapor deposition which is always mistaken for natural orient.

Sunbleached pearls are not translucent but may still maintain some orient however, they just don't have the same effect as the translucent ones. Dyed pearls may maintain their orient and look really good as discussed with Zeide in another thread under vapor deposition.
