More metallic white earrings arrived today!
Back in February, I phoned PP and asked if Jeremy would be bringing in more metallic earrings in larger sizes. I really needed some larger studs to go with this strand (much as I love the 7.5-8mm studs and wear them often on their own or with my exotics, which they complement unexpectedly well.) I felt that the strand was dwarfing the studs.
I was told he would be taking a trip in early March to Hong Kong and that was where he buys the metallic whites. Trevor suggested I email Jeremy before his trip to ask him to look out for some earrings for me. So I did!
Originally I asked him to look for 8.5-9.0mm because I thought that larger sizes would look
too large worn as studs (he didn't find any in that size.) But I have large ear lobes, and these have not proved to be too large at all!
I bought 2 pairs-- one is 9.0-9.5mm and the other is 9.5mm-10.0mm. The photo shows all 3 pairs with the strand. Photo taken just inside an open door.
The 9.5-10mm ones are whiter with green overtones and a close match in luster and color to the strand. In some lighting I think I'm seeing a slight rosy haze (orient) similar to that of the strand. I will have to wait for an overcast day to try to catch that with the camera.
The 9.0-9.5mm ones are very slightly warmer in their body color; their luster is higher than that of the largest ones. One of them displays pink overtones with the green. My daughter said these are the perfect size for me. Because they are a little warmer in tone, they also go well with my silver-rose Freshadamas! I expect to wear these often.
Thanks to Jeremy and Hisano for hunting these up for me!
