The ombre, the Rikitea, the blue Tahitians... Mm-mm! A delicious vision of pearly-goodness this afternoon. I just adore the shot of all your beautiful studs with the ombre strand!
Last year I also bought this pair of rather large, 13-14mm, green and pink button tahitian studs from Pearlescence. I often wear these on their own, they are so big that they work fine on their own. I also often use these when it's to hot to wear strands. I like the one with the ring best.
This pair of blue green tahitians from Pearlescence I often wear on their own as well. They are 13.1mm and slightly button. They look like they don't quit match but they look lovely on. One of them has a pink center, but you can't see it in all lights. This pair goes well with my ombre tahitian rope from Cees, my blue tahitian strand from Pearlescence and my rikiteas from Cees, but they look great on their own. Last summer, when it was uncommonly warm in sweden I almost only used this one and the 13-14mm green and pink pair. I don't feel dressed without earrings and I prefer studs.
My favorite tahitian tincup and the only one I accually wear. I bought the dropshaped tahitians from Wen Pearls last year, the pearls should have been 8-11mm. Some of them might be 8mm but most of them were really small. There were some gorgeous colors in that strand though and the prettiest I used for this necklace. I especially like the white tahitian pearl and the two blue ones. I use this tincup a lot.
I wirewrapped the pearls with silver wire, probably rhodiumplated since it never tarnishes.
Thank you Gemandpearllover, after I made that tincup I don't wear the other ones. Forgot to post the tahitian dropshaped earrings together with the tahitian dropshaped strand. I do that soon.
I thought that this would be a nice combination for autumn. Ombre tahitian rope from Cees and these 8mm aubergine tahitian studs from Oceanscove. The clasp I won at an auction years ago.
