Haha, that's only because I cut away the other parts... @eolian pearls...like my head....ok it's nothing wrong with my head per see, however on selfies I get the most peculiar resultats. Probably the angle or something.
Oh well...then there is also that thing called the Internet, where our personal lives may become overly public. But the bits you've shared are just perfect. You've got a lovely neck and smile
My 42 inches long mixed circled south sea rope. The pearls are mostly from Druzydesign with just a few thrown in from my leftover pile. First with my deep golden circled south sea, that one is 20 inches long.
Another reason for loving circled pearls, besides their many colors that can appear in a single pearl, they have the funniest shapes. I never gets bored looking at them.
With lots of new deep golden circled pearls
And some cream ones
That big deep golden south sea pearl at front of the photo for example
And some deep golden circled earrings to go with them. I wasn't able to match any loose ones myself so I bought a pair. I changed out the hooks for some vermeil hooks with emeralds. They are very well matchen except for a more rose overtone in one of them. It shows on photos but not really otherwise.
I bought them from Druzydesign. They were in my watchlist for a really long time, since I hope to match some loose myself. Mismatched I could do but I already has a pair of mismatched circled south sea earrings.
Stunning necklaces and earrings Charlotta...and I love the mismatched earrings...especially how one has stronger ros[e overtones and the other one greens. I find that very attractive
I remade that blue bracelet again...at least with stretch cord goes fast. I added a carved red jasper skull instead.
I have been wearing this one and the rainbow bracelets for days. I moved a pearl on the rainbow bracelet as well. There is that pearl that looks to pink next to the blue tahitians and to blue next to the purple ones.
Do you remember those golden akoyas that I keep remaking. I recently added most of the ombre south sea bracelet to half of them. I'm not totally convinced that is the right combination.
It is pretty and not bad when worn. So this is for you eolian pearls, one of my most blurry selfies. And I did take a lot of them...
So I took the red jasper skull from the ombre south sea bracelet and added it to the blue tahitian bracelet.
Those lone pearls on the side makes the strand put itself better around the neck. The wave effect looked of without it as well. II first tried with two or three but then it looked to heavy on the side. I could add the other half of the golden akoyas and make a rope I suppose.
Charlotta I love this necklace - it looks gorgeous in your neckshot! I think the shorter length over a rope really emphasizes your fabulous stretch of ombre
Thank you SurfnSci .I do like that strand. It is similar in a way to my vintage akoya and blue green tahitian waverope.
I love that rope and wears it often. But they can't all be ropes. I do have another section of golden akoyas just a few pearls shorter than the ombre south sea and vintage golden akoya wavestrand. But I haven't found the right pearls yet.
Thank you AzFlyGirl and CortezPearls. I agree, something special happens when one combines vintage graduated akoyas with tahitians or south sea pearls. The tricky part is to get the colors right. The golden akoyas were more difficult to find a pleasing combination for than the ivory ones. And I like that wave effect. It would be fun to find those traditional graduated akoya strands in blue, green, silver etc.
