My pearls

Thank you Pattye, I will try, but you know those scissors has a will of their own. Now they are thinking about combining those smallish tahitians left with one of the rainbow bracelets that I made myself. I am not sure that the rainbow effect will be possible to see.

Would add to the lenght at least. I could also make a double bracelet out of them. One day I will surely try.

Wow Charlotta the necklace is so so gorgeous!!!! I stand with Pattye in suggesting to keep it that way;-) I only imagine it is even more beautiful in person! Wonderful design, fantastic colors it looks stunning on your neck!!!! Wow!!!!

Thank you eolian pearls. I am rather smitten myself so it will probably stay the way it is. I have lots of other pearls to play with. Mostly restringing I'm afraid. My ombre tahitian rope from Cees needs restringing. I am thinking about adding a clasp again. Not that I need a clasp, it's just finickely finishing an endless rope some. Well recently I had to remake a rope twice, the needle wouldn't go into the last pearl. My bad, I left to little room and the knot on the first pearl had lodged itself into the last pearl making it impossible to get the needle through it. So that one did also get a clasp.

I did put an orbit clasp on the mixed sizes tahitian rope that I shortened to 41 inches and got some better photos of it that shows the colors better. The previous ones were a bit warm. There are so many soft colors in this one. Most of the pearls are from Cees with just a few from Druzydesign.

Like these very much...specially the use of those big, circled-drops. They just add so much flavor to the necklaces.

Wow...and just saw those aquamarine ones...stunning!

Thank you CortezPearls, I agree those drops are gorgeous. They were gorgeous bracelets as well but I prefer them this way

Yesterday I remade my mixed south sea strand. As you might remember I made this a while ago, really liked it and then I wanted to try to make a ombre tahitian and south sea rope. Well since I have now remade that rope yet again I had all those south sea pearls in a pile. So I remade it. I don't think that it's exactly like before but that doesn't matter. The pearls in this one is from Pearlescence, OceansRhyme and Kongspearl.

Those deep golden south sea pearls aren't earrings. They are the ones I saved from restringing all those pearls from Pearlescence, to use with those deep golden south sea pearls that I still haven't recieved from Druzydesign. They are at the mercy of the swedish postal service...

They are very pretty

The mixed south sea strand with my other mixed south sea strand. The pearls in that one is mostly from Pearlescence.

Today I have been wearing my green and pink tahitian studs from Pearlescence, my newly remade stretch bracelet that I made with silvery pearls from Cees and my new vintage coral necklace from vintageatmums on etsy. I love my new necklace, the pendant and chain is vintage and the swivel dog clip is new. Very handy that dog clip.

This is what that bracelet really looks like

And these earrings I use all the time. When worn they look more like aqua

I couldn't find a good single photo of those earrings, but I did loose all of my photos a year ago. And this is a photo of my new necklace that the vendor took.

Very pretty combination Charlotta! Oh red coral...beautiful vintage piece, I believed vintage is the only way to go with red coral as the governments fail to effectively protect these species and overharvesting together with the climate change threaten their extinction.

Thank you eolian pearls. In sweden it's not legal with new coral or ivory. Ivory is more protected than coral though. I wouldn't buy coral that wasn't vintage. I think that this piece is from the 70:s. And I love that red color.

New ombre ombre tahitian strand (Pearlescence and Druzydesign) with another favorite my version of a Pelosi strand, love that mixed strand (Pearlescence, Cees, Druzydesign and my leftover pile)

I have been busy restringing strands lately. I have started anyway. Only those that needs restringing, but I wear then a lot. I started out with my rikitea strand from Cees. I accually added two pearls next to the clasp so that it's more comfortable. The photos are a bit warm.
_20210314_135958.JPG
then I continued with my ombre rope from Cees. I added a clasp near those lighter pearls. Those photos didn't look good either so here are some old ones.

This is now the front of the strand
_20201219_141948.JPG
And the back. Since I added my usual clasp I can pretty much turn it anyway I want to anyway.
Then my vintage akoya and blue green tahitian waverope needed restringing as well. No wonder, I have worn this a ton.

Yesterday me and not-husband had to resque smallest cat. Last year we made a library with bookshelves on all the walls. High ones. In one corner we added a small bookshelf for cd:s. That one is angled with some space behind it. Yep you guessed right. Smallest cat, being clumsy for a cat, had fallen into that small space. Bookshelves firmly attatched to the wall. It's an old house. It's made out of boards that are thick. Anyone try to kick though our walls will break their foot. Luckily not-husband has been playing with the clumsy cat and has been teaching her to climb up one of those fabric tunnels for kittens to play with. Don't know why, they both love that game. So I lowered the tunnel into that small space and told the terrified cat to climb. And she did! She lost her grip twice but finally I could see her little head and grab her. I checked her over and cannot find anything wrong with her. She was upset and had to sleep on not-husbands arm though. She quite often falls down from chairs and such whilst rolling about. But usually not at that height.

I like every design of yours and I think they get better and better. I took a whole weekend to catch up this thread back in January, and now you've got so many new designs. How talented. Thumb up. Never stop. :D

I am still wearing that coral pendant with silvery pearls. Some new photos.

I love that the finding for the coral is clearly hand made.
Those green and pink tahitian studs from Pearlescence that I wear all the time and didn't have a good photo of. Well it still isn't great. I try again later.

Some pearls are phohotogenic. Like this waverope (vintage akoyas and tahitians from cmw pearls) that did get a golden clasp whilst restringing. Somehow too warmtoned for silver.

The slightly longer rikitea strand from Cees

Love those colors. The pearls I added are closest to the clasp. Then my ombre tahitian rope from Cees did get a clasp as well.
_20210327_121920.JPG
i mostly wear it with the blue and green colors at the front anyway.
My deep golden south sea pearls from Druzydesign are still at the swedish custom. 10 days after they were first scanned in sweden I could finally pay the taxes on them. Now they might arrive on monday or they might just hold them for a week or two...And then my three earrings from Pearlescence. Those will take a couple of weeks as well.

Thank you StarryPearl. I had somehow missed your comment. No I won't stop. Suddenly there is an idea in my head, demanding attention. Sometimes I make something that I love and sometimes it doesn't work out all. Most recently I wanted to make an ombre tincup with leftover pearls. But stalling a bit since my eyes hates wirewrapping. I do have some very colorful pearls on my beading board, leftover from other projects. But very different in size and shape. They wouldn't look good just strung. Well see. I am joping to make that deep golden south sea strand soon, the one with pearls from Druzydesign.
Yesterday I retook most of the photos of my earrings and pendants. I am sure that I forgot some. Last year in april I sort of deleted all my photos. I thought that I had saved them safely, reformated the memory card and all was lost. This was when I had broken my phone due to rigorous sanatizing. It just died. Still dead. So I had to buy a new one at once, no landline anymore. Couldn't even call my mother.
Anyway I want to have what I call stock photos of my pearls so that I don't have to wait a week or two if I want to show you all something. I recently discovered that there was mainly earrings without any good photos. There were photos, just sort of slightly blurry when I zoomed them. I do have many earrings I discovered. Well I have three more coming from Pearlescence and two new enhancers/pendants. I did buy a deep golden south sea pearl and a pale blue south sea fireball in Wendys loose section. I don't accually have a deep golden south sea enhancer nor a fireball enhancer at all. Can't wait, well I have to.

My posts looks good on my phone, but on my tablet the photos jump around. Going to try the large photos... Here are all my blue pearls. In several posts that is. Starting with the blue south sea studs and pendant from Pearlescence. I love the colors on these ones. They are big but very light.

Then the blue akoyas. All of my blue akoyas are from Pearlescence. I bought 4 strands of smaller silvery blue ones and 1 strand of ice blue bigger ones. Mostly they are on mixed strands but I also made 2 tincups. The really long one I still have, but the shorter one I gave to my mother and lost the photos.
First my blue akoya and drop tahitian rope. The mismatched tahitian studs are from Oceanscove.
