My pearls

Tomorrow I will use my vintage akoya and golden south sea waverope (the south sea pearls are from kongspearl) with my champagne south sea studs from Tahitipearldesigner. I haven't worn that strand in months. Don't know why, I really do like it.

That photos with the mist filtered sunshine does look a bit cold. Two others that I took a while ago.

That waverope would have been longer had the previous owner of the double strand of akoyas not generously applied probably perfume and hairspray, many of the pearls were damaged, mostly on one side (lefthanded maybe). The remaining pearls are beautiful though.

Golden south sea week continues. Today I wore my ombre circled south sea rope and my mismatched circled south sea earrings, all from Pearlescence.

It's such a pretty rope.

Tomorrow I am going to wear my other ombre circled south sea strand, also from Pearlescence. I haven't decided about the earrings yet. Either my deep golden south sea bracelet from Pearlescence.
_20201101_212509.jpg
Or these huge white baroque south sea studs. Here they are with the wrong strand.
_20201101_212237.jpg
Just the earrings.

This is a better photo of my south sea earrings.
_20200607_211513.jpg
Or with the same earrings as today. These are amazing.

I forgot to post the pearls I used for the rest of last week...well I did combine my deep golden south sea strand from Cees with my deep golden south sea studs from Pearlescence with my deep golden and vintage wavestrand (pearls from Cees and a vintage double strand of akoyas). The two strands are about the same lenght, so they didn't nest or anything. But they did look gorgeous together. I forgot to take a photo of them together though.

I use those studs a lot.
_20200607_211830.jpg
I didn't wear golden south sea pearls the last day of the week...I got sidetracked, remade my ombre tahitian and south sea strand a bit, the one without regards to the size of the pearls. This one
_20201107_140443.jpg
I removed the golden (or rather greenish) pearls, added some more bumpy tahitians and added two bigger white circled south sea pearls. I liked it so much that I had to wear it at once. I post a photo when I have one.
Yesterday I wore my ombre blue and silver tahitian waverope (pearls from Cees and Pearlescence), my green and pink tahitian studs from Pearlescence and my circled blue tahitian bracelet with a carved blue azurite skull. With a navy eyelet lace woolmix sweater I purchases at home in my own closet...I recently bought a new bag from the same place...wonderful taste I must say. ..shopping my own stash is not only pandemicly right, delivery is instant and I didn't spend any money. Haha. One thinks that I have lots of clothes, but no. I just always use what's on top, that basically means switching between two espresso brown cashmere sweater and blue jeans... Funny thing is I first searched online for the bag and a sweater like that, then decided to check out my closet first, I had a bag just like that tucked away and I love the sweater that I haven't worn for years. Wierdly enough I do want to buy a green tahitian strand sometimes soon, I did check my jewelry box and didn't find any...bad jewelry box. Anyway blue and silver rope.

Love this one.

Those pretty studs are probably my most used earrings, the luster and color is great, slightly button and therefore very comfortable and the size is great, 10,1mm. They go with most pearls.

I am going to go search my jewelry box for that green tahitian strand again, haha. I should do laundry really...

Hi Charlotta, there are so many pictures and gorgeous pieces of jewelry in your posts! I love the mismatched south seas circle studs with the diamonds, so fun!
Can you post pictures modeling the layering of the different strands?

Thank you Lilpearl, I try to get a photo of the strands this weekend. Mostly my selfies gets blurry and the colors looks washed out...

Lovely lovely, Charlotta.
And yes, it would be great to see you modelling some of your creations...
Maybe not-husband or kitty could help?

Thank you Happy Huka, maybe the cats can help. Not-husband is a terrible photographer, he doesn't even think about the light. Mostly his photos turn out quite yellow...

I had to take that photo myself...

Some photos of the strands together. Deep golden south sea strand from Cees and wavestrand with deep golden south sea pearls from Cees and vintage akoyas from a double strand.

It's so dark in sweden now that it's difficult to get sharp photos. There are only a few hours of light every day.

Charlotta, giggles to the “Not-ty” guy you’ve got there! He’s good with hammer, nails and wood, I guess he can shrug at photography if he wants, :D:cool:

Thank you Linda.wald anf lisa c. No really, he is amazing with most things except for cooking and photography. He doesn't even consider the light and mostly doesn't even capture what he is photographing in one frame. Like if he is taking a photo of the cats, not all parts are inside the photo...and it's blurry...and yellow.

Too funny, Charlotta!

Mellow. Yellow.
They call him mellow yellow
(quite rightly)

I did remake my ombre mixed size tahitian and south sea strand, removing the greenish golden south sea pearls adding two circled white south sea pearls and some more bumpy dark tahitian ones. I did take some new photos, but since the light isn't all that great the colors woun't show properly.

I think that I like it more like this.

This week I have been wearing my drop tahitian and blue akoya rope (drops from Wen Pearls and Pearl Paradise, akoyas from Pearlescence), with my mismatched tahitian studs from Oceanscove. I love this combination and wears it often.
_20201121_134705.jpg
I also wore my ombre silver and blue tahitian waverope (pearls from Pearlescence and Cees) with my pale green and pink tahitian studs from Pearlescence.
_20201121_134338.jpg
I also wore my smallish tahitian rope (Druzydesign) with my tahitian tassel (Cees and Druzydesign), with my mismatched tahitian studs (Oceanscove) and my really long 46 inches silvery blue akoya tincup (Pearlescence). That tincup took hours to wrap. It's gorgeous, works well with other pearls but are notoriously difficult to capture on photos. The mismatched studs are notoriously easy to photograph...always so pretty.

Maybe these aubergine tahitian studs from Oceanscove
_20200829_140916.jpg
Or these dark tahitian earrings with topaz that I made. I think that the pearls are originally from Pearlsociety, remade many times.

It makes me happy to see the pearls around your neck, Charlotta! And gorgeous goldens at that...

Kitten was one of a litter of 7; 6 survived, and I got them all adopted by sitting on the front steps of my house while they played with each other. Actually, they got themselves adopted! They were darlings, and as people took nightly walks and visited for a few weeks, they fell in love. This was Baby’s 3rd and last litter; with help from my friends and Daughter we finally trapped her and fixed her situation. She was a bit of an independent and gregarious minx, very wily.

I named and raised the next-to-the-last-litter of 4, and that made it harder to let them go, so I didn’t name the last babies, I just loved them all to bits.

I swear, the more roasted chicken Baby ate, the bigger her litters were. She was also such a fluffy cat that it was hard to tell - pregnant? or plump? The last time she was more friendly and let me snuggle and pet her, so I girdled her belly with my hands, trying to guess. Each time I tried to press, she’d flop onto her side, flump, boneless, and look at me confused. What was this, painless Labor? Lol

But! at the right age, my daughter got the shelter involved (she volunteered at animal friends) the official came by with a couple of cages, evaluated all the kittens (3 teenagers and 6 babies!), said they were good-looking, well-fed, friendly and well-socialized, even though they were too fast for me to corral alone.

On Determination Day when the officer came back to help, all of the babies had been adopted already, and Baby was adopted with the last kitten. I’m pretty sure he thought I was hiding the babies, he wasn’t used to things going so easily. The teens were sad and twitchy, I was sad, but they all got good situations.

Charlotta
I so enjoy seeing all your strands, and how creative you are when stringing, mixing and matching. It makes my day. However the picture of you wearing your Goldens, is stunning ! Wow, your skintone is meant for Goldens. That is one beautiful photo, you look gorgeous!

Lisa C That kitty is a real cutie. Loved the photo!

Thank you Jeg, lisa c and AzFlyGirl. Such a wonderful kitty story lisa c. We have to sterilize smallest cat, she's 1 1/2 years old. But we want to wait until after the virus. She's been tolerably good however. Our cats don't go out, to many cars, tics and they might be eaten by something bigger or shot. They have two houses to roam. Even when smallest cat is most vocal, no male cats are to be found outside. They have all been fixed. It's not allowed to have cats outside if they can breed anymore, some new law or something just before the virus.
AzFlyGirl, you do make me blush. I will wear that combination again soon.
