Well, it’s more like Two Seasons lol, Summer & Winter. I decided to consolidate my flower tin-cups into a separate post since there are various Tin-Cup posts on PG.

I’ve posted about Summer Bloom on the Ruckus thread before. I purchased a bracelet strand of buuuutiful blush metallic at the Ruckus and decided to turn it into a flower station tin-cup a la Newberry style. I was thrilled with how it turned out.

Now neck shot and action shot that I didn’t get to share earlier. Paired with PP’s baroque akoya rope.

Introducing my new set – the Winter Bloom.

After I used up the rose and silver flower stations in Summer Bloom, the gold set remained sitting around. The pearls I’ve purchased from Jac a while back. They are gorgeous and really colorful, but a lot of the pearls had off-centered drill-holes. I first tried them on softflex and the off-center spinning was really obvious. I then tried to knot them to see if they would drape better and compensate for the misalignment. It was still obvious enough that it bothered me and I never wore it. I hem and hawed on what to do with them.

Finally, when I saw Newberry’s set of Tahitian tin-cups that she styled with her new gorgeous giant fancy metallic drop, it hit me like a truck - I knew that was the solution to my Tahitians!

Newberry’s inspirational set:

I set out looking for textured ovals, but was surprised that I couldn’t find any. I finally settled on smooth ovals and it worked out well. Decided to use the remaining gold flower stations in this set and I really love how it turned out. The richness of the pearls green & aubergine goes really well with the gold flower stations and oval chain. The tin-cup worked in compensating for the off-centered drillings and misalignment quite nicely.

By using the gold flowers, it ties the Summer & Winter set together and allows for unexpected layering of 2 very different types of pearls.

Back to my preferred styling of tin-cup plus a full strand. The baby (7mm) Tahitians are also from Jac – both the babies and circles are from his Dark Mangareva color mix.

Now more is more, right? Adding an additional layer of drop/off-round peacock I rehome from Pkinnew. This peacock strand was part of the 5,600 peacock lot PP got in a few years back. This set has really different shapes – short circles long circles drops and off-rounds – but they are united by color.

Really happy with how everything turned out!

But still missing Newberry's magnificent center piece of that metallic drop to complete the look. Thankfully my Octobaby from Sheri bravely stepped up to the plate and offered to be proxy. Turned out pretty good no?

They are all magnificent. I really really loved summer bloom, but now I admire winter bloom, too! I am going to have to get some of that chain. I have it saved on etsy, just keep forgetting about it. Looks wonderful!

Wow, Purr, you are so creative. Those necklaces are so yummy, fabulous and classy. Thumbs up!

Purr your creativity never fail to amaze me. I'm always looking forward to your creations.
They look fab alone and all together

WOW Purr what wonderful tin cups. I am really flattered to be your "inspiration" but I must say you bumped it up many levels! Your layers of pearls just make me smile ;) love, love, love them!

Ahhh!!! What lovely creations!!! I really like how your ropes all nest inside each other. When I wear mine, they tend to be about the same length so I have to use a shortener or redo them. I really prefer ropes over shorter necklaces bc you can see the beautiful colors of the pearl all the time.

Purranha- thank you for this thread! I was looking for your summer tin cup last time to see the proportion of your chain to the pearls. Now I know, where I can find it!!

Your creations are soooo terrific and inspirational! Both of your tincup are versatile and very elegant!

Purr these are fabulous! The pearls, flower stations and the layering, beautiful!

Purranha, your new Winter Blooms necklace is divine, and the combinations are INSPIRED! Just gorgeous :)
