Interesting how the nacre formed over the implant and still maintained the detail. How thick do you feel the nacre is? Buddha is certainly a popular image for pendants~what do you expect to do with these? Thank you for showing them here.

Is that a mabe pearl because of the implant, or is it mother of pearl because it is flat on the shell?

Hmmm, they are quite common in the Far East as pendants in a simple setting.

yup i have seen them during shows before as well i bought them just to add to my collection so i will leave them in the shells

i bought a parcel and keep 4 or 5 and the rest will just be sold as funny objects the nacre layer is quite thin i think ,2 mm some you clearly see the implant under the layer

guess you can call it mabe its not totally flat they are around 4mm thick no idea actually
