The true issue is price point; a South Sea Strand is very costly, while a freshwater set like you show above, would be a fraction of that cost. So, if the vendor is not advertising correctly, but is charging an appropriate amount for these pearls, and you like them, then go for it. The important thing is that you get what you pay for.
