Some of those knots look much larger than others, but in real life they are all uniform in size! Not sure why the camera captured them that way...also the pearls themselves are very difficult to photograph. They really do have a very nice luster

Some updated photos...I've added rondelles to the finished strand. I've also included the Mermaid necklace in aqua, as well as a tin cup all made with the pearls from this lot. I am holding on to a few extra pearls to make earrings with, but haven't worked on those yet! This was an amazing batch of light mix perfectly round Tahitians. Many of the pearls had little or no blemishing (the pearls used for the strand are all without imperfection, other than the drill holes.)

The smallest pearls are about 10mm, the largest on the Mermaid are around 12.6, 13+ on the strand, and 11-12 on the tin cup. The white gold ball clasp is 10mm. The chain/wire on the tin cup is 14k. It is interesting how the yellow gold makes the pearls seem a bit darker.
Pattye, do you recognize the thread? It's your wonderful Beader's Secret thread and gimp.
The pearls are from Jacques. My camera seems to distort the shapes of the pearls, but they are all perfectly round.

They are all so beautiful and perfect! You do such a great job with the colors and designs. I've noticed most cameras have distortion on the edges. You can always shoot a little further away and crop to avoid the distortion, but regardless, the necklaces look lovely!

Your Tahitians make me want Tahitians. I haven't liked ones I've ordered previously because they never look like the photos, so I really think I need to see some good ones in real life. I need to try to make it to a Ruckus.

Thank you amti and BWeaves. These are light body color pearls, which can look grey in certain light. These pics were taken in my kitchen with overhead led recessed lighting. There was also natural daylight filtering in through the windows. The colors are more subtle on these strands, like water color paint.

The spacing with the roundels every third pearl is perfect, imho. Love the subtle color variations! Super photos too, I still find pics so difficult to take.

The necklace looks fabulous! That is a wonderful piece and the pearls are beautiful! The tin cup is really lovely and I like the chain you chose..is that a 2mm link? It looks like an oval chain link or is that distortion? You are doing a great job on these pieces!

Wonderful. You are right, the yellow gold makes the pearls look darker, more intense coloured. I thought they were from different batches until I read your notes.

You are going to look so pearled up these holidays! It might be difficult for you to pick which strands to wear at this point -- what a nice *problem* to have!

Well, a knotting lesson from our talented Caitlin at Tucson Gem Show in 2007 (?) and encouragement from P-G members is exactly how I got enthused about pearl knotting, though I'd been making jewelry for some time and even taken a knotting class.

Don't you wonder how many have taken up knotting since the instructions were added on Lowly Beaders" Club?
