Okay ladies, fess up. Which one of you snatched up my first choice brooch from Sarah's most recent trip? Lol, no worries, I got one of my own and it's beautiful. I rarely wear a brooch, but oh well, it's more like a piece of pearl art. I know some of you got brooches as gifts at one of the ruckuses and maybe others have purchased them. Each is special and different, so I thought it would be nice to see them together if anyone is willing to share photos? Here's mine, pretty in pink and white:

I didn't even know there was such a thing! It is stunning! The peripheral pearls really do look incredibly like petals.

I didn't snatch up your brooch, I promise, but I did receive one today from Sarah. It arrived as a most lovely gift along with pearl rope that I purchased.

My pearl brooch is the one in the upper left in Sarah's blog photo. And, here it is sitting on the little pouch that it arrived in.

Here's a lovely white flower brooch from Sarah last year. Several years previous I had experimented with the petal pearls myself and made a pendant, shown on the right. So easy to understand why anyone from lowly beader to fine jeweler is inspired by these glorious petal shapes!P1010030.jpg

Pattye, are you kidding? You made that brooch? It's beautiful!! Yes, I've been trying to think what else you can do with them too. Topper for a small box, scarf pin, barrette, brooch for a purse/clutch. I could definitely see myself using one on a clutch for a fancy night out.
