What an interesting specimen, it looks so round; I wonder if there is a bead nucleus inside? Looks like that to me because it's so round. Do you have any way of measuring the pearl? A fun conversation piece! Thanks for sharing.

If there's a bead inside, it would be cultured.

It looks like a cultured one. Sometimes the oyster expels the bead or cultured pearl, it lands on the shell and gets coated...we get several of these every year.

Are you still interested in blister pearls in situ? I have a couple of small abalone shells with small but colorful blisters. One was drilled, obviously meant to be a pendant on its own. If you like, I will take pictures.
