How to stretch silk

Hi Caitlin,
No, the cutter is only good for cutting off a length from the reel - the cutter is a tiny blade set into the plastic spool. It is, however, very handy and saves the nippers a few cuts.
Sorry, I meant to post this earlier, but got carried away with this - the necklace I made this afternoon using moss green Powerpro.

Looks as though she has sweet little rondels incorporated and you can't see the line. Has anyone contacted the fishing line manufacturer to make them a site sponsor?

Woo, Hoo, Sueki!

Please tell us more about the pearls! That turned out just fab! Yes, I thought I saw roundels also------

Pattye
so many pearls, so little time

A sponsor of this site? I don't think so. Jeremy has turned down offers like from the tir-dorcknorer. (Thank goodness!!!) I figure yall could read that but the robots wouldn't pick up on it.

Beautiful necklace, Sueki.

Now: what kind of pearls? The shape would suggest freshwater but the colours look like Sea of Cortez. Please tell us!

Sueki, your work is getting more and more beautiful! My bet is FW, although the picture isn't too clear - probably lovely darkish lavenders. Whatever they are, they look gorgeous! 8mm?

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Caitlin, I don't mind the moss green colour at all.
Thought I'd hate it as I'm a bit of an old fuss-pot and always chose silk colour to team with pearl colour.
But on this necklace, the Powerpro doesn't show as the knots tuck inside the spacer beads.

The pearls - well, now, I bought them as a lavender purple strand, but really, I'm lost as to how to describe them.
Yes, they are a deep lavender purple, but they have the most amazing effect.
Almost every one has a different colour over-glow. This ranges right through the rainbow.
There are deep pinky purples, greens, golds, and even, I swear, blues.
Colour-wise, they are a cross between Tahitians and Cortez pearls, without the deep, watery thing. You would almost think that they are exotic multi-colour Tahitians....
Well, o.k., no-one here would.

Yes, the photo. is rubbish - sorry, we have had some dreadful weather, and it's been grey and gloomy.
I'll try again for a better picture later today or tomorrow.

Pearl sizes - oh, I forgot to measure them. I'll do that and post when I add a new picture.
Off the top of my head I think around 8mm. or so.
I bought the strand with the intention of breaking it up and making bracelets and maybe a couple of pairs of earrings, but they are so good I can't bring myself to do that, and I'm keeping this one for me.....:)

Oh, yes, and best of all is that so far no reaming has been necessary when using Powerpro.

Here's some more pics.
Slightly better this time.

Hi Sueki, the colours in those pearls are sensational! Are these pearls you bought from pearllunar? And are your gold spacers vermeil, or 22K - they do look great.

Thanks for the new pics!

A little humor there--2 of the 3 customer reviews for the Powerpro are from beaders! (None appear to be from P-G members, however.)
