I think you just hit the nail on the head, CeciliaW! Only at PG, we don't have too much horror expressed at the drinkers who always add ginger ale to their beer.

(Plus, the differences in pearls can be quantified and don't disappear, unlike what happens with beer and palates).

I also hope you decide to stick around for what you enjoy ;-)

It's really the same thing in any area where people have specialized interests-- wine, cars, perfumes, bags, watches, chocolates, gems--- there will always be some whose standards are more exacting and others who are more accepting. I'm picky about some things more than others. Maybe if my wallet were deeper I would grow pickier about those other things as well....

If your taste matches your budget, you are fortunate. Same for us all.
