I have inherited an akoya pearl necklace. It was purchased from Gumps in Sanfransisco several generations ago. I'm not sure when. (I might be able to find out.) From my mother's notes, I believe the pearl size ranges from 3-6 mm. The clasp is silver pointed/oblong single cut, 26 facets. The clasp has some writing on the back but I can't read it. There are approximately 100 pearls on the necklace. The color is antique white with a nice/ shiney luster. I am looking to sell it if the retail price is decent. I have been looking a little about how akoya pearl necklaces are selling and my only hope for a decent price is that it is an heirloom. Can anyone comment on the value of this necklace? Thank you, Robin
