Fresh water pearls?

This is a recent acquisition and I assume this strand is freshwater but thought I'd ask the experts to double check. The strand is 96" (practically down to my ankles), and the individual pearls are around 8.5mm. There is no clasp.

So am I right and these are freshwater? Also how would you rate the luster? (The first photo has terrible lighting sorry)

Thank you for sharing photos of your long rope! There appear to be some blemishes, but a fun, wearable strand that will surely make a statement!
