FIRE TEST and polishes are flying :))
How can I clean these polishes other than fire? I think they were made a long time ago and it takes a lot of time with fire and the pearl color under the polish is much more beautiful, also 11mm this pearl is a Gulf pearl I think or what are your comments?

ANSWERS:
You never use fire on pearls. Ever. Unless you want to destroy them. The one you destroyed seems to be a faux or imitation pearl.
The 11 mm pearl just looks like a golden tinted baroque cultured pearl to me. And thanks to the x-rays you provided: I am sure it is a cultured pearl, probably from the Philippines.

You should really try to inform yourself about pearls. Read all of our documents, they are free to use.

Using large, perfectly round natural gulf pearls to make imitation pearls is a novel idea.

When a local jeweler to whom I showed one of the necklaces I wrote from France in the 1950s claimed that they were imitations, I told him that the tops were polished to prevent damage. I told him that if he wanted, he could burn one of them to blow off the polish and even hit it with a hammer to see if it was not glass or plastic.

The jeweler tried one of them with a hammer and we burned it, as a result we couldn't get any information about its origin when the pearl was found underneath, what happened to our 300-400 dollar polish.

:)

Those whose origin I am sure of are waiting for the time to go for the test.
