Justin Hunter just send me a photo of the rounds from a single line at his farm. These were just the rounds. The colors are really something.

These are a few of the more unique colored pearls.

Justin has invited me out next month to see the harvest while it is taking place. I am considering it although I really need to get to China...

Anyone here want to the the PG envoy out to Fiji to cover the harvest for everyone here? ;)

I'd love to go, I know Peter has always wanted to as well. Gonna have to talk him into it.

Love the colors by the way...

those blues and purples are great, can't wait to see a pic of the whole harvest.

Does anyone know why one line of oysters will produce such a variety of colours? I'm presuming that they have come from local stock and obviously under pretty much the same conditions?
They are stunning. wowie wow

I'll go!!!! I want some!! Will everyone chip in so they can have a first hand look? lol :D

I definitely have to get my passport renewed, the list gets longer and longer.

Those are really pretty. I have been waiting to see more about Justin Hunter and his pearls here. Thanks for sharing, Jeremy! And I second the (self-)nomination of Waimeamomi to be your intrepid pearl scout :p I'll just have to wait and see Savusavu some other time...

Fantastic colors. Fiji, huh? I'd love to...hmmm, wonder if I could manage it?

Jeremy, with you being invited to the harvest, seems like you are being wooed...any thoughts of carrying these pearls in the future? O.K., I'll take it a step farther...how about stocking enough for a private offer? Please please please??? Or does Justin limit his sales to small exclusive auctions and his own and/or local shops?

Sheri

Justin sells at auction only, and as pointed out on the professor blog, he limits the buyers. His production is still really small, but he has talked about increasing it in the near future.

I would not say being "wooed". We got along really well at the forum. We are about the same age and are both entrepreneurs. Discussion of selling Fijian pearls has not even come up yet.

Gorgeous pearls Jeremy... I am always up for a trip to Fiji - not too far from here, and a very 'usual' holiday spot for us..
