eBay item: 140150595691 I'd like to know if the pearls are real or not.

The lady said she did not know. I sent her the link on this site on how
to test by rubbing the pearls across your teeth. She told me that her
teeth are "store bought" and she can't test the pearls on them. After
I wiped the tea off of my computer screen, I signed up to ask here.

Funny! Did she mention if the clasp was marked for gold or sterling? The stones look kind of like rhinestones to me. But it's tough to tell from the photo. My guess is it's costume jewelry but I'm sure someone else here will have a better idea.
One more thing. There are no knots between the pearls. Most pearls are knotted between them to protect them from rubbing together.

and she is funny but I do not know if she is being funny on purpose

"I did not see any marking and no there are no knots between the pearls. Thank you for asking."

They are not real. I guess she did not need natural teeth after all.
Thanks for the advise and information. I will keep reading on here
and learn as much as will fit in my head. The answers really helped.

At least she is being honest about not knowing. That is better than blatantly lying and saying they are real. They do appear to be faux pearls.
